Holleman’s Novel Wins Book of the Year

Heather Holleman's young adult novel was honored by Christianity Today's 2024 book awards.

Heather Holleman, Associate Teaching Professor in English and the Schreyer Honors College, has been recognized by Christianity Today for her novel, This Seat's Saved, which has been named Book of the Year in the Young Adults category. This Seat's Saved follows middle-schooler Elita Brown, who struggles to fit in with her classmates but learns to find strength in her religious faith. The novel is the first in a series, for which Holleman has just signed a multibook contract.
